The MAESTRO team at Inria Sophia-Antipolis is hiring a post-doctoral fellow for a duration of 12 months max, starting as soon as possible.

Project
The person hired will work on a class of stochastic processes from the family of Markov Additive Processes, described in [1]. The tasks to be performed include:
- develop the theory for these processes
- develop numerical algorithms for computing distributions, moments, etc.
- develop applications in the domains of BioInformatics, Green IT and others.

Skills
The mathematical methods deployed for the project include probability calculus, linear algebra, Laplace transform techniques, asymptotic analysis. The candidate should hold a PhD in computer science or applied mathematics, and have a comprehensive knowledge in the analysis of Markovian models. Programming abilities and the taste for implementing theoretical results is considered a big plus.
